Her story: "My aunt and I decided on our first Korean plastic surgery experience when we met up with a medical tourism agent from MKS. My aunt wanted a Korean mini face lift rather than a full face SMAS lift. The reason is because we only had 7 days in Korea and we were told that stitches removal will take about 8-10 days for a Korean full face SMAS lift. I wanted a liposuction on my tummy and love handles and heard all about the Korean liposuction experience and results. "

The Korean Surgery experience: " My aunt and I both got our surgery at Mega Plastic Clinic 2016. We went to JK Plastic Surgery for a comparison but decided at Mega Plastic Surgery instead. Aunt and I both wanted the head Doctor Yoo Won Min to do the mini lift and liposuction . He's a board-certified surgeon with 20 years of experience (excluding 5 years of general medical experience) and is specialized in anti-aging and lifting. After my tummy liposuction, I had to wear a compression garment to ensure that the skin do not loosen after fat extraction. We stayed near the Express bus terminal so it was easy for shopping and going to and fro the clinic for checkups. Our surgery went very well despite all the bruising and bad swelling for about two weeks! It has been over 6 months post-surgery and I love how lean my tummy is now and my aunt already look 7-8 years younger with just a mini face lift. We are already planning our next Korean beauty trip with our other relatives. "

Korea Plastic Surgery vs other countries’ Plastic Surgery: "I had my double eyelid surgery done in Singapore and my aunt had hers in Jakarta. The results were just average (as compared to my friends who did it in Korea) and our bruising was over a month. So two weeks bruising in Korea was really nothing much to us maybe because Dr. Yoo did the surgery pretty fast as if very familiar in the specialty. However one thing I would like to point out that Korea still lacks a little in terms of customer service as compared to the Singapore doctors. If you aren’t considering too much about customer service then Korean Plastic Surgery results are amazingly good."

Advice for others: " Both my aunt and I are really satisfied with our results. I will suggest bringing your own translator or agent so that someone familiar can be beside you in a foreign country. Plastic surgery already makes someone jittery enough, having good communication is the best comfort you can get in a foreign place. "
