UK Model PIXIEE's skin treatment in Korea
I am a model from London, England. For years I have struggled with bad skin. Being a model means that I have tons of make up applied to my skin on a daily basis. I don’t’ get to choose the products and some of them do not agree with me! I am very fair so even the smallest blemish is very prominent and a scar is pretty much guaranteed. As you will appreciate, having good skin makes my job a bit easier and it gives me confidence in every day life. I wear make up every day for work but I don’t want to have to do that on my day off. So here I am in Seoul, South Korea, a country with some of the world’s most advanced treatments and cosmetics and… plastic surgery. LET ME BE CLEAR, this is not about plastic surgery but I would be stupid if I didn’t do some research about ways to help me with my problem skin without having surgery.
So, my quest for clear skin begins……….
I found HERSHE plastic surgery and dermatology! I am greeted by Claire the international consultant. I was honestly expecting a scary place like a hospital type building with people being wheeled around in beds and wheel chairs. FYI: hospitals scare the living daylights out of me so of course I was nervous! To my joy it wasn’t like this at all, it was a very relaxing atmosphere with really friendly welcoming staff. PHEW!!!
THE CONSULTATION:
Now onto the consultation with Claire, after telling her my issues and desires she explained the best treatment for my skin type and me. (She was very knowledgeable on all treatments) so I was able to make an informed decision and walk away with confidence. I needed two treatments for my skin, one being FRAXEL- this targets my acne scarring and effectively targets pigmentation, tone and signs of ageing (cause lets face it I’m 26 and not getting any younger). The second treatment HYALURONIC INJECTIONS- this helps with my dry skin.
THE BOOKING:
Consultation done, time for the booking! They booked me in for the following week. I explained I had a busy schedule and my dates pretty few and far between. This being the case they were extremely helpful in fitting around my schedule. I also explained I can’t have scaring and scabbing on certain dates (YES I am a nightmare customer you must be thinking :() Point is… they were so helpful in guiding me to the best date as well as the best treatment for my skin.
ON THE DAY:
Claire escorted me to my room where we would begin with a exfoliating dead skin procedure. This was to cleanse my face, then onto vitamin c care with is an intense facemask. And then the Anaesthesia cream. So Fraxel is a laser that zaps you! So of course it can be pretty uncomfortable. They kept the cream on me for 40 Mins to ensure absolute numbness!!
LET’S LOOK AT THE PICTURE:
After the numbing creams kicked in its time to hit the laser chair…in comes the surgeon. He saw I was nervous but was quick to calm me :) I am pleasantly surprised after reading many reviews of people saying this was super super painful. I didn’t feel a thing! the only uncomfortable bit was my forehead but again, didn’t feel much at all. I was then taken back to the room where I was given a cooling down mask and put under a machine that helped with swelling, as I needed to heal pretty fast because of my schedule! Before we said our goodbyes she scheduled my hydro injections for the following week after my skin had healed from the laser. Claire then escorted me to the front door where she arranged for a driver to take me home :)
Now…FOR THE MOMENT WE’VE BEEN WAITING FOR!
DAY 3 AFTER TREATMENT!
